business soon after made things worse but ajay like a strong person fought the situation with full courage he discussed the idea of starting the multiplexes in
india with his mother during that time multiplex was a new concept for the
indian audience but having seen it abroad he knew it could work here the only million dollar question was where to start from thus he first decided to do complete research and came across village roadshow that was finding its way to the
indian market around the same time without any delay he met the md of village roadshow and succeeded in striking a deal that gave birth to a joint venture priya village road show that is also called
pvr when priya village road show or pvr started there were uncertainties surrounding this business mr ajay had no option but to wait and see how
india's audience responds to the idea of smaller screens well the concept worked and with that he started to expand his
business in and around delhi people positively accepted the idea of full-fledged
cinema halls with good services while ajay was busy expanding his
pvr business several other issues came his way one such problem around the time was of the 9 11 attack in the u.s followed by which village roadshow wanted to exit from india ajay was stuck yet again on one hand he had invested capital in the expansion projects of pvr on the other hand he had to fund the exit or village roadshow well ajay is a man who does not have the phrase give up linked to his dictionary he decided to seek guidance of his mentor and friend sunil mithal the man behind bharti airtel sunil mithal suggested him to knock the doors of private equity players and ajay did as advised well his problem got solved as he could raise the needed funds and with that his
business was right back on track finally in
2006 pvr launched its
